General Standards
At UQAR, there is no single presentation standard that applies across the whole university: the precise requirements (font, margins, line spacing) vary by program, discipline and the template chosen. Always refer to the template and guide for your discipline, or check with your program coordinator.
For reference, the common conventions are as follows:
| Parameter | Convention (indicative) |
|---|---|
| Format | Letter (8 ½ x 11 in) |
| Font | Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri or Cambria, 12 pt |
| Line spacing | Depending on the template (for example, one-and-a-half spacing in the education guide) |
| Margins | About 2.5 to 3 cm (depending on the template) |
| Citation style | APA (unless the program indicates otherwise) |
These values are indicative. Always check the official template for your program, as requirements may differ.
