This policy describes how Uniformat handles personal information, in line with the applicable personal-information protection laws in Quebec and Canada.

Data processed

• Institutional identity via the institution's SSO sign-in (no Uniformat password is created or stored on our side).
• Submitted documents (theses, dissertations) for the requested compliance check.
• Minimal technical data needed to operate the service.

Purposes

Documents are used only for the requested formatting check. They are never used to train AI models or to feed an external database.

Hosting and residency

Hosting and processing on Google Cloud, Canada region. Precise residency, retention and compliance commitments are defined contractually with each institution.

Retention and deletion

File retention is limited to the agreed processing. Retention periods, exports and deletion rules can be configured according to the institution's internal policies.

Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@uniformat.ca.
